Would someone please point out in the Bible, New Testament or Old Testament, the Koran, or the teachings of Buddha where it says its followers should evangelize through force, intimidation, or legislation. My impression is that the major religions do not advocate the spreading of their religion through force albeit physical, psychological or legislative.
Legislatively, what I see in the news is the spreading of religious views by force or through legislation.
It seems that spreading ones religious views by legislation goes against the First Amendment of the Constitution

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof….”
