What Does A Trump Acquittal Tell About Us.

At its simplest, Are the Republican Senators IMMORAL or are the people they represent? The Republicans have admitted he is guilty and yet will find him not guilty. This finding is after refusing to listen to people who were first person witnesses and physical evidence after demanding such for months. They are even refusing to accept a vote for Censure. I believe the Senators are a immoral and acting against the will of the people they are supposed to represent. I hope the Republican voters are making a list of who to vote out of office.

Live, Grow, and Prosper?

I understand how you can refuse abortions by this legislation, but please list the laws that allow a child to grow. Are we talking about food stamps, Medicaid, early child hood education, school funding, teacher education?

What laws do you have to enable them to prosper? A guaranteed living wage, universal medicine, free tuition, vocational training, and certified and trained teachers?

What is your state’s ranking in these areas? If your state is in the top 10%, help us in other states learn how to help a child grow and prosper.

If your state is not doing these things then you are plainly only interested in the fetus and not so much interested in the child that is born.

Why I Feel Sorry for Christians

Over the last two decades i have been listening to politicians, particularly Republicans, tout they and their party as the party of family values.  This has won them the unquestioning support of the religious right.  And that “unquestioning” is the problem.

Over the last two decades the right has opposed every teaching of Jesus Christ in their political actions.  They consistently oppose helping those who are in need.  And, yet, the Christian right, whether Republican or Democrat, has continued to support them.

So,  what do Christians say when they are asked “What would Jesus do?”,  they say nothing.  For, if they have not opposed those politicians who do not follow Christian beliefs in their actions; they are as guilty of hypocrisy as the politicians.  If they continue to support financially and vote for politicians who hypocritically call themselves Christians, are they not themselves opposing the teaching of Christ?

I feel sorry for Christians because they can no longer have it both ways.  They can no longer support the politicians of the religious right and still claim to promote the teaching of Jesus Christ.

I really am sorry for them.  No person should be so grieviously taken advantage of because of their religious beliefs.
