It is your duty under the Constitution. You didn’t swear to “get your Party Members re-elected”. You swore to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic”….
DO YOUR JOB!
Mr. President, Members of the House and the Senate, Supreme Court Justices please remember that you have sworn to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution”. You were not elected to preserve, protect and defend your business interests or your re-elections. DO THE JOB YOU SWORE YOU WOULD DO!
I understand how you can refuse abortions by this legislation, but please list the laws that allow a child to grow. Are we talking about food stamps, Medicaid, early child hood education, school funding, teacher education?
What laws do you have to enable them to prosper? A guaranteed living wage, universal medicine, free tuition, vocational training, and certified and trained teachers?
What is your state’s ranking in these areas? If your state is in the top 10%, help us in other states learn how to help a child grow and prosper.
If your state is not doing these things then you are plainly only interested in the fetus and not so much interested in the child that is born.
The last war that the United States declared was WWII. Since that time the U.S. Congress has abrogated it’s power to advise and consent and declare war.
The Congress would rather criticize the Executive branch than do its duty. Therefore, we are on the brink of yet another undeclared war in Syria with no imput from the people’s representatives who have through variolus artifices given that very important duty described in Article I, Section 8 to the Executive branch.
Decades have passed without this gutless branch doing its work. The number of lives lost during those years, the money that has been wasted is incredulous; and yet, here we are today bombing a sovereign nation without a declaration of war.
It’s time for Congress to screw it’d courage to the sticking point and either declare war or withdraw all troops.
When a politician says that people want…, you need to ask which people he is referring to.
Is he referring to all the people (which he is implying)?
Is he referring to the people in his district or state?
Is he referring to his campaign contributors (most likely)?
On what data is he basing his opinion (polls, letters, phone calls, emails)?
If he chooses to follow the people, how does he explain his votes which are contrary to non-partisan polls?
WHY ISN’T THE MEDIA ASKING THESE QUESTIONS?
When you say “I am not a scientist.”, stop right there. You have just admitted you have no credibility on the subject; we really don’t care what your opinions are.
You’re a member of Congress.
You are a Republican.
We know you don’t believe in facts.
Don’t waste oxygen and increase our carbon dioxide problems by continuing.
