It should be evident to even the Trumpsters that what the Republicans want is for the elderly (who are on Social Security. Medicare or Disability ) and the working poor (who are on Medicaid) and people of color (who are dispropornately affeced) to die. How can I charge that?
Why is he holding back on testing?
Why else would he want he elderly to attend his pep-rallys?
Why would he want to curtail testing?
Why isn”t his administration seeing that there are adequate medical protections for our health care workers?
Why does FEMA send “junk” to the providers in nursing homes?
Why has he silenced the CDC?
WHY ARE THE REPUBLICANS SAYING OR DOING NOTHING?
The death of these non-one percenters are the only hope this president and his Senators have of gettng elected.
At the same time, their deaths would decrease payments for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid freeing up mney to dealwith the exploding debt they created with their first stimulus to the one percent.
Which would you choose? Which have the Republicans chosen? Which will the Democrats choose?
Osterholm, who has advised several presidents on pandemics during the past 2 decades, co-authored the nine-page report, titled “COVID-19: The CIDRAP Viewpoint,” with epidemiologists from the Harvard School of Public Health and formerly from the CDC.
The team used prediction models, historic pandemic data, and published reports about COVID-19 to forecast the next 2 years. Based on that, they said government officials should prepare for a long-term pandemic. They discussed three scenarios:
The first scenario could be that the first wave of COVID-19 this spring is followed by several smaller waves during the summer and the next 2 years, gradually decreasing throughout 2021. This could vary by geography and require periodic shelter-in-place recommendations.
The second scenario could be that the first wave is followed by a larger wave in the fall or winter, and then smaller waves in the 2021, which could require shelter-in-place measures again in the fall. This scenario mimics the 1918-1919 pandemic.
The third scenario could be a “slow burn” of transmission during the next 2 years, which may not require additional shelter-in-place orders but will continue to cause new cases and deaths.
IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE SO VOTE. VOTE EARLY. VOTE BY MAIL.
Fight those who want to limit the citizens who can vote.
I would like the Republicans who shout about the sanctity of life for the unborn, can then say we should allow the wave of this virus to roll across the country and the elderly because they were “on their last legs” anyway.
Republicans are now openly suggesting that we should get rid of the elderly because they are not productive and “on their last legs”.
Can I say this about all Republicans?Yes, because I have yet to hear any Republicans speak in opposition to this proposal.
The name of their policy is “The Final Solution”. Final in that it gets rid of anyone who is not employed or in good health therebye freeing more money for the one percent even if they have worked their whole lives to make this country great.
The Republican Party unnecessarily exposed their citizens to Covid-19 because they knew that in a high turn out election they would lose. This is an admission by Republicans in Wisconsin but other states and the President as well.
Prepare to have to fight to cast your vote. Fight we have to and fight we will. Republican, Democrat and Independent all are entitled to vote without the threat of Covid-19 or physical or emotional threat.
If fight we must, then fight we will for all citizens to be able to vote.
